Pros: Great pictures, long battery life, allows a beginner to 'grow' with the camera.
Cons: Expensive repairs! CFC card can bend pins internally if you're not EXTREMELY careful!
Bottom Line: Great camera but be wary of the CFC!!!

Pros: Easy to use, multiple options, affordable, high quality. Get professional pictures from an amateur.
Cons: The flash can be slow and the LCD monitor is easily scratched
Bottom Line: I have had this camera for over two years and it has never given me any problems. It has made me go from an amateur to an intermediate photographer.
